Join SAME DC in greeting our Veterans as their Honor Flight arrives at Reagan National Airport!

Honor Flight gives Veterans the opportunity to fly to Washington, DC and see the monuments that are dedicated to them, including the WWII Memorial and other monuments on the Mall. Honor Flight is a nonprofit that raises money so Veterans can make the visit for free.

We will be greeting the Veterans arriving on a flight at 4:10pm on June 8th. We will meet the flight at the gate and smile, clap, shake hands, and give hugs to the Veterans.

Everyone is welcome to join us with the SAME DC group. Be sure to invite your family members, friends, and co-workers! Great event for kids of all ages!

There is a specific registration process in order to gain access to the gate, so please RSVP by June 2. We will share further logistics and requirements to those who are interested. For more info: Honor Flights DCA

We will be getting Gate Access Passes to meet them at their gate and welcome them to DC for their visit. Please bring any of the following: flags, banners, thank you notes, etc.  No, there is no age restriction but everyone needs a gate pass.  Even babes in arms.  Minors won't need ID to pass through TSA as long as they are accompanied by adults.

Note: Each person who is attending must have their name and birthdate submitted for TSA. Include your name as it is listed on your government-issued photo ID and please send Corinn Bovi all the information. We need everyone’s Full Name, Gender, Date of Birth and Email address.

The Honor Flight will be arriving the afternoon of 6/8 at 4:10 PM.

The airport will provide parking vouchers. Plan to be at the airport 45 minutes before the flight’s scheduled arrival to pick up your gate access pass and go through the security checkpoint.

Closest Metro: Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (Blue, Yellow)

Parking: Airport parking garage
